FRENCH design maestro,
tods trainers, Christian Lacroix, is best known for his fanciful catwalk creations - particularly those shown at couture week each January and July in Paris. Besides fashion, his other great love is costume design - and it is this talent which is being showcased in a new exhibition;

The exhibition begins today at the National Museum of Singapore and will run until June 7. Following that it is scheduled to visit Brazil and Moscow.
"Drawing for dance or for theatre allows me to breathe," Lacroix is quoted as saying on an exhibition panel. "I love extravagant things. The tutu is one of them. It's a mad invention, both magical and surreal. No designer, no top fashion designer, will ever be able to compete with such a piece of apparel."
