Default Image slice problem still there in PhotoPaint X5 - CorelDRAW.com

I thought I had tested this feature (successfully) in X5 some time ago, but now when I go back to use it the same old problem is back. I don't know if I was just lucky back then (Feb 2010) but the image slice feature fails badly in every test scenario that I have tried the last few days. The prada Shoes feature last seemed to work in PhotoPaint 12, but has been broken in releases 13 and 14 as well as now with X5. The image gets broken into segments, but the resulting segments contain garbage images and are useless. I use this feature only sporadically, and used to keep release 12 around just for that purpose. Now I have upgraded my system and question whether it would run on 64 bit Windows 7, even if I could find the installation disks for release 12. I scan large panoramic images to preserve them. The images are saved on a CD so researchers can access the images without damaging the originals. The slice feature has been a very useful tool in making it easier to navigate around and "enlarge" segments of the image for viewing. The example below shows the result of slicing a solid color green image, 2048 x 750px, sliced into 4 rows each with 2 or 3 sections. Larger more complex slices are more outrageous. Since Salvatore Ferragamo Flats shoes this feature is still shown on the tool menu, why is this still not fixed??
