The extent of actress Reese Witherspoon's injuries following a car accident last week have been revealed in newly published photos.
The Oscar winner was snapped out and about with pal Chelsea Handler on Monday with her sunglasses propped up on top of her head, leaving her face exposed.
Clearly bruised, the smiling actress showed off a black eye and deep gash on her forehead, covered by a Band Aid.
The actress was hospitalized after a car driven by an elderly driver hit her. Witherspoon was jogging in Santa Monica at the time of the accident.
The Oscar winner has declined to press charges against the 84-year-old driver who accidentally hit her,ball jointed dolls, but the woman has been cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian on a crosswalk
